Live for 2day

For some time now I have been listening to a lot of 3 Doors Down and I ran across a lot of good songs by them... But this one simply is... Awesome! And the album cover is just so "WOW".

3 Doors Down - Live For Today

It's just a great "open your eyes" song... The kind of song that kicks you in the head and yells at you "live your life god damn it"!

I really can correlate to the song...

"Show me the road and I will find my own
You build the bridges and I'll burn them down."

This is just so "I'll follow my own way, not yours"/"I'll live my life the way i want to"...

Even the "while heroes ride again" (In the entire context "You're always hiding, throwing up your hands/while heroes ride again.") tells the story of how vanity and ego has taken over. What do you want? Do you want to "act out and pretend your mighty"? Or would you rather be one of the heroes? Most people (I have seen it) chose to just "throw up there hands" than to just do something... Sad...

"I'm taking chances in the here and now."

"I'll take the chance before the chance has gone."

Just seems to push you (or maybe just me) to risk it... I'd rather risk it and fall than to just let life pass me by... Try, get knocked down and get back up again!

How will you know what future holds for you if you refuse to trail it. If you are given a chance, take it, "you never know when it will be your last".

"Another day and yet another's done,
spending the life living within the past."

Don't ever live in your past, always look up for a better tomorrow!

"The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present." (Alice Morse Earle)

"Yesterday is History,
'tis so far away --
yesterday is Poetry,
'tis Philosophy --

Yesterday is Mystery --
Where it is today --
While we shrewdly speculate
Flutter both away"

Wow. So many things you can say about this single fraze...

"We'll never know it When we run out of time until it's all over with
and there'll be nowhere to run."

Make the best out of "NOW" before you reach "TO LATE".

...

We all regret the past, we all wish to go back and fix some of the mistakes of our past, but we can't so why spend our time thinking "what if?" because it's just wasted time in which you might get a 2nd chance.

Learn from the past, Don't live in it. Build your future, don't wait for it to overwhelm you.

...

Remember yesterday. Imagine tomorrow. But live today.

Don't give up! I know I won't!

There she goes

And now I'm back where i began... Love...

Weird how all these songs put you through all these different emotions... You'd think you have more control over yourself.

Single minded obsession... You see the object of your desire... and this goes through your mind...

Dose not happen to you? Well... You don't know what your missing...

When the object of my desire is "Racing through my brain", "Pulsing through my veins", "Chasing down my lane", my brain shuts down, my body goes numb and i feel hungry (at least that's what I think... It's really confusing)... The last one's a bit bizarre but still interesting...
"She calls my name, pulls my train. No one else could heal my pain"...
"And I just can't contain this feeling that remains"...

How did butterflies get in my stomach?

...

This song goes hand in hand with "Sixpence None The Richer - Kiss Me", clearly.

...

Not much to say about this one. Song says it all...

Happy Hour!

Weird how a person can go from love to pain to regret to the chinn up emotion (dunno how to call it) and to joy...

It's a never ending circle ;)... Tomorrow I'll be down again... And I'll be emo till i listen to some good "chin up" music XD!

Ahh... Can't be emo on happy hour!

Enjoy Chumbawamba - Tubthumping (think i spelled it right)

Just grab a Whiskey drink, and then a Vodka drink. And then some Lager drinks, and a few Cider drinks. Start singing songs that remind you of the good times, and the songs that remind you of the better times! Now don't you feel better? Or worse depending on how drunk you are ;).

At one point you find yourself pissing the night away :P. "Oops, i fell in the rose bush. OWCH! Don't cry for me, next door neighbor".

You piss someone off and you get knocked down, but you get up again and say "your never gonna keep me down"! Think you should have sat down and not said anything. Well... At least your not emo anymore ;).

But now really this is the perfect chin up/have fun song. Can you, can anyone possibly hate on this song? Doubt it.

Grab a drink, laugh it off and do some stupid s*** if it makes you happy. But watch out not to end like this guy... "I got a feeling" that this is SO going to happen...

EDIT 23 Feb. 2010: I just found a "story" in this song as well (Now it's shocking even me). Actually I found the story last night while I was just standing in bed, looking at the sealing after i had a short chat with "the one"... Not referring to Jesus or God if it's that what your thinking...

The female voice is telling most of the story.

Bizarrely what i read in the "story" was a romance between the female character and the person that she sings about, to be more specific "Oh Danny Boy" and "Next door neighbor". You can see the male character in the clip standing at one side of the table apparently alone (Not really. The female character is standing at the table too) wearing a pair of black gassers with thick borders. The story starts out with him trying to gain confidence threw the words "We'll be singing. When we're winning. We'll be singing". The "I get knocked down part" represents refusal, while "But I get up again" is the "I'll try again" and "chin up" thing. "Oh Danny Boy, Danny Boy, Danny Boy" is the female character trying to "cheer up" the male character.
"He drinks a whiskey drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink"
Hard. Ether "Drown sorrow in booze", "Booze will help me gain MORE confidence" or "This will cheer me up... For now".
"He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times"
This one is easy. Did you never try to cheer up yourself by singing a "happy song"? I did... And it sort of works...
"You're never Gonna keep me down" is the "No matter what you say I'm still gonna try again" thingy (and that's what I will do :P).
"Don't cry for me
Next door neighbor..." is the female voice trying to tell the already drunk (or halfway drunk) male character not to try or cry anymore. Bla bla bla. Don't listen to her, just keep trying!

And it all seems to repeat in a bizarre fashion... Think he had a bit to much to drink...
